Module 1: Getting free access to Autodesk Fusion
This module will walk you though the key steps to get an Autodesk Education Account, and free access to Autodesk Fusion for your STEM Racing Team.
Module 2: Learn the Basics of Autodesk Fusion
This module teaches you the basic tools you need to know in Autodesk Fusion. Starting right from scratch you will learn about the User Interface, 2D Sketching, the 3D modelling tools and assembly processes you need to know to model your car.
Module 3: Design your STEM Racing Car in Autodesk Fusion
Now that you have learnt the basics of Autodesk Fusion's tools, you can put your skills into action. Follow this module to learn one way that you can model a STEM Racing car for competition, using the no-go-zone, modelling techniques you have learnt and your own design skills!
Module 4: Manufacture your STEM Racing Car in Autodesk Fusion
Now that you have a model of your STEM Racing Car, the next step is to make it!  Follow this module to learn how to program manufacturing toolpaths and create gcode to run on your Denford CNC machine. Autodesk Fusion can replace QuickCAM Pro as the tool used to program your CNC machine. Whilst it takes a little bit more work to learn, the power and capabilities you unlock can make all the difference in the competition.
You do not need a Denford CNC machine for this module to be relevant. This module will teach you the manufacturing process that you can use to validate and understand the manufacturing process to be able to talk about it in your report and presentations - sending it to a machine is just a plus!
Module 5: Render your STEM Racing Car in Autodesk Fusion
Now that you have a model of your STEM Racing Car, the next step is to use it!  Follow this module to learn how to create photo realistic renders of your STEM Racing car for your marketing, portfolio, pit display or social media.
Module 6: Technical Drawings of your STEM Racing Car in Autodesk Fusion
Now that you have a model and renders of your STEM Racing Car, the next step is to create technical documentation of your car.  Follow this module to learn how to create 2D drawings of your STEM Racing car to meet the competition requirements and demonstrate your car's compliance with the regulations.
Module 7: CNC - STEM Racing Challenge Certification

In this course, you'll learn a bunch of important skills to help you create the best possible F1 in Schools car using QuickCAM Pro. First, you'll master how to rotate your model, which is essential for getting a good view from all angles. Then, you'll learn to set the depth of the cutter and change the size of the billet, which is the block of material your car will be cut from.

You'll also discover how to extend the machining boundary and add the right tools for the job, making sure your car is machined accurately. Creating a machining plan is another key skill you'll pick up, along with changing machine parameters and setting boundaries to control where and how the machine works. You'll preview the machining process to catch any mistakes before they happen, and you'll learn how to set the datum position, which is the starting point for the machine. Finally, you'll understand how to save your files properly, so all your hard work is safely stored.
